Dr Christine Roh, Dr WenQi Tan and Dr Mark Pearce are panel physicians approved by the IRCC to do immigration medical exams into Canada. Our multilingual team welcomes you!

- Dr Roh is fluent in English and Korean.

- Dr Tan is fluent in English and Mandarin.

- Dr Pearce is fluent in English and basic Mandarin.

- Raj (our medical office assistant) is fluent in English, Punjabi and Hindi.

The costs for the Immigration Medical Exam are:

  • Regular IME: $200 per person​

  • Ages 11 and under- $150 per person

  • X-ray: $90 - required for ages 11 and up

  • Labs are based on age:

- Age < 5: No labs required

- Age 5-14: Urine dipstick: $24

- Age 15+ and Adults: $92

* Additional lab tests may be required based on your history and physical exam, and will be charged extra at the lab.

  • Ukrainians under CUAET: immigration medical exam, XR and labs covered by a valid MSP if you have one

Prices are subject to change without prior notice. Please note that for regular IME clients, none of these are covered by MSP (Medical Services Plan BC).

PLEASE NOTE:

We understand that plans can change, and kindly ask for 48 hours or 2 business days' notice if you cannot make it for your IME appointment. Please note there is a $50 fee for late cancellations or no-shows. To cancel your appointment, please send us an email at woodlandsclinic.ca@gmail.com or call us at 250-940-8888.

HOW TO BOOK:

  • Fill out the Sign-Up Form below. Our office will contact you within 1-2 business days to send you the IME Intake Form, or you can

  • Complete the IME Intake Form and email it to woodlandsclinic.ca@gmail.com. Make sure to:

  • Write your name as it appears on your passport 

  • If you are applying for Family-EDE or PR, please ensure you provide your IME number (located on your IMM 1017 form).

  • Booking X-ray: Applicants ages 11 and up who are not pregnant require a chest x-ray. The x-ray is only done at West Coast Medical Imaging, 203 - 1120 Yates Street (P: 250-386-8305) and 1641 Hillside Avenue (P: 250-598-1991).

    • Please call them right after you receive an IME appointment from us, as immigration X-Ray wait times can be up to a week (The doctor will give you the x-ray request form after your medical exam, but you do not need the X-ray request form to book your X-ray appointment). If West Coast Medical Imaging does not have any appointments available that day, they will also do walk-ins for clients outside greater Victoria.

  • Lab Tests: Applicants ages 5 and up will get a lab test requisition from us after seeing the doctor. Please go to any LifeLabs location in BC (no appointment needed). The cost of the lab tests is paid at LifeLabs.

ON THE DAY OF YOUR APPOINTMENT:

  • Please come to our office located at 207-2020 Richmond Rd, Victoria BC, V8R 6R5 for the medical exam.

  • Parking: Our building has underground parking for $2.00 per hour (cash only). On-street parking is also available for 1 hour.

PLEASE BRING THE FOLLOWING:

  1. Valid Passport (or Canadian government-issued ID). If you have surrendered your passport for renewal, please bring an original colored copy to your appointment along with any Canadian government-issued ID.

  2. Client Biodata & Summary / IMM1017 Form (if you have been issued one)

  3. Work Permit, Visitor Record or Study Permit document (if you have one).

  4. Prescription glasses / contact lenses (if you wear any)

  5. All your medications (if you are taking any)

  6. Medical reports or test results on any of your previous or current medical conditions (if you have)

We use e-Medical to submit the Immigration Medical Exam report online to IRCC. You do not have to bring visa photos to your appointment, a live digital photo of the applicant will be taken in our clinic and uploaded with the report.
